Colourful depiction of a group of young men talking with an older man on a village street with a dog nearby and people and log houses in the background, by the English artist and engraver, John Augustus Atkinson (1775-c.1833), published on his return from Russia in “A Picturesque Representation of the Manners, Customs, and Amusements of the Russians†(100 plates). Early 1800s. Good condition, foxing, creases, roughly cut edges. 48.5x30cm
