Description
Sheaffer Classic Pens 1997 CP4 "Civil War-Richmond" LE Fountain PenÂ
In a wonderful collaboration of Sheaffer, Classic Pens, (Andreas Lambrou) and Murelli Jewelers/France, a pair of solid sterling silver pens was born, becoming the 4th in a "Legacy" series marketed by Classic Pens. Both pens exhibit the "torpedo" overall design seen on Classic's CP2, Pushkin pen, are "Touchdown" (or cartridge) fill and bear a contrasting gold clip, bearing the Sheaffer "White Dot." In this lot we are offering the "Richmond" pen representing the South, in that historic struggle. For decor, Murelli used an antique engraving machine from their museum to create the "Moire" guilloche design seen on the sterling silver cap and barrel of this pen #195/1865. It bears an inlaid Sheaffer 18K "OB" nib, and comes mint, housed in a slate grey (South), reptile skin-covered box with all papers.
