6 Ft. 5" Tall w/ 16" Marble Bases. A truly remarkable pair of antique French torchieres carved of marble and bronze and converted from candelabras to fully functional dimmed electric lights. Extremely heavy from solid bronze and marble, these stunning torchieres provide significant light to a room or can be dimmed to illuminate as if from candlelight. The pair, likely crafted in the late 1700's have a unique combination of elements that were inspired by Roman and Italian trade that had begun during that period. As such, swags, leaves, and clawed feet are combined with fluted piping into fixtures that are both ornate and refined.
