A PAIR OF GUSTAV STICKLEY BOOKCASES. #715, single door sixteen glass panel bookcases. Reverse of one bookcase retains a "Craftsman" paper label. Circa 1907-1912. Purportedly from the Estate of actress Eve Le Gallienne 56'' x 35" x 13''
Condition
These pieces have a light-medium amount of age appropriate wear. There is noticeable wear to the varnish on the corners and light wear to the varnish on the top surface. The bottom front board on both has some light noticeable scuffs. There is some light denting/chipping on the front corners about 6" from the floor and some .5" light scratches on the right corner about a foot form the ground. Both have a 3" diameter section of warn varnish on the window frame door to the right of the upper third row of glass panes. Both doors slightly sag when open and have to be lightly lifted up when closed. There is some light stable cracking in the wood on the side panels. The back has some more significant scuffing and there is denting to the back corners.
