This piece has a medium amount of grime build up to to the surface. There is a medium amount of overall yellowing from age and grime. There is a 1.5" tear to the canvas to the left of the far left cupid's calf. This tear has been patched at the back for support, but not over painted. There is another V shaped tear about 2" to the left of the female figure's head. This tear covers an area about 2.5" in diameter, and it has some patching and light overprinting. It is visible tot he naked eye upon close inspection. Under black light there is visible streaking grime, and there is a small section on the top left corner that has been cleaned, a couple lines of white streaking grime are visible to the naked eye. Under backlight there is also noticeable paint loss around the perimeter of the painting where the frame edge is rubbing the surface. There is slight wrinkling to the canvas on the corners from stretching.
