Sideboard in minimalistic design with four doors, characterized by its functionality and classic elegance
The architect couple Philippon & Lecoq designed this sideboard in1962, it was made in various executions and sizes. The plain and minimalistic design with its sophisticated doors is particularly captivating for its clear lines, high degree of functionality and subtle elegance. The simple box-shaped cube, veneered with mahogany, makes for an effective contrast with the white-lacquered doors. Tapered in pyramide shape manner, they make for a subtle, almost sculptural effect and a soft play of light and shade. The minimalistic construction calls reminiscence of Knoll designs and delivers proof of the designer's background in architecture.
The sideboard is 94 cm high and 240 x 53 cm wide and deep respectively. The sideboard is in very good condition with discernible traces of use and aging, such as minimal scratches. It was property of Rudi Mischke, founder of 'Agir-Werbung'.
