Elegant floor lamp in reduced, linear design
The Italian lamp maker Arteluce is well-known for its elegant, linear reduced designs. They mostly consist of a delicate metal tube frame that stands in clear contrast to the voluminous shade. This is also the case with this model, which comes with a slim tripod stand and is a typical example of Italian lamp design of those days.
The lamp has one electric flame and is 153 high. It is in very good condition with minimal traces of age and wear. The shade was renewed. Operational reliability is not guaranteed.
Arteluce
Arteluce was founded in Milan in 1939. Between 1945 and 1950 it became the epitome 'Light of Modernism'. Among the early designers was Gino Sarfatti, who created lamps for Arteluce, his lamps were geared at the Mobiles of the artist Alexander Calder.
