Panther, Tiger and other exotic animals were popular Art Déco motifs. Their motion's dynamic and smoothness perfectly matches the popular streamlined shapes. The Italian Art Déco sculptor Amedeo Gennarelli created this terracotta figure around 1930. The very lively and warm effect is achieved through material and painting.
The animal figure is signed 'A. Gennarelli' on the base. Dimensions: 20 x 74 x 16.5. It is in very good condition with few traces of age and wear. Painting slightly rubbed in places.
