Extraordinary Art Nouveau vase with drip glaze decor in earthen tones and mounting in floral design
This vase is a cooperative work by two famous Art Nouveau companies, the Hungarian ceramics maker Zsolnay and the German metal ware producer Orivit. It also has two features characteristic of those days: the drip glaze, its application was very controlled, however, it achieved a very natural effect, and mountings in floral design.
The vase is inscribed with the maker's mark and the model number 'ORIVIT 2581' on the bottom. It is 27.5 cm high and in good condition with few traces of age and wear. One bud on a mounted arm loosened.
