Description
Rome, ca. 1st-2nd century CE. Solid cast bronze figure of a Satyr carrying a wine-skin, an animal skin sewn up and used to hold wine; figure with long pointed ears, short tail, parted and wavy hair, defined pectoral and abdomen muscles, and wide open eyes and mouth. Depicted leaning forward with weight on right leg, ready to pour wine from the wineskin. 3-3/4"H. Custom stand.
