A JAPANESE SATSUMA VASE, KINKOZAN, MEIJI PERIOD (1868-1912)
tapering ovoid, decorated to the flattened shoulder with gilt paterae and pellets between geometric borders, painted with a scene of ladies beside flowering shrubs and trees, red and gilt Kinkozan tsukuru mark, 15cm high; together with another Japanese Satsuma vase, Meiji period, inverted baluster, painted with flowering trails of wisteria between geometric borders, worn gilt mark probably Kinkozan, 15cm high
