Description
The AEAA is very pleased to present this next group of (3) valuable Vaseline (Green Uranium) glass items from the respected Loren (Butch) Morse collection. This lot represents three wonderful Depression Era custom wine goblets, in the tapered, Stacked Ring series, from the highly respected Seneca Glass Co. of Morgantown, W. Va. Each of these wine goblets has a different crystal bowl & stem style, and is classic Seneca quality. Known as one of the great producers of American clear crystal tableware, Seneca entered the colored and mixed color glass arena in the late 1920s to wide acclaim. The dual crystal & Cobalt is very desirable, but the crystal & Vaseline formula, is the most prized! These cordials explode under black light, and are in wonderful condition, with the 5.5 inch thumbprint goblet having a tiny inner rim nick. All weigh 1# 2 oz., and measure 4.25, 5.5 & 7 inches tall respectively. Today, a realistic price for these scarce Senecas is $30, $40, and $55 smallest to largest. Loren Morse was a respected family man and Vaseline collector, and his untimely passing a year ago was a blow to everyone. The Morse family gratefully appreciates your participation in this Estate sale.
