Description
A museum-quality statue of Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1829). Cast out of bronze, patinated. Stands on a black slate square pedestal. Well signed at the base - Guillemin, with the French Depose Foundry seal beside the signature. Also some number marks on the side, most likely from casting. Done by French master sculptor Emile Coriolan Hippolyte Guillemin (1841-1907). Usually working in the bronze medium, pieces by Guillemin are sold and exhibited in prominent galleries and auctions around the world, including Sotheby's, Christie's and the like. Measurements: Approx. 12.5" high x 4" x 4". The bronze figure is 10.25" tall
Condition
A hairline on one of the corners of the marble, a shallow surface flake on another of the edges. The bronze has no issues at all. Ready for display
