Description
Unusual late Roman Coin, struck 318-320 AD. Avers: Laureate bust of Licinius II, left holding globe, sceptre, mappa. Reverse: Camp gate with three turrets. Reference: RIC 31, variation; Possibly quite RARE! Please, notice the fact that the text starts with DN (Dominus Nostrum), but the last title is NOB C (Nobilis Caesar) - striking inconsistency; Another thing worth mentioning to this account is that he wears full Imperial regalia, including globe and scepter, which obviously contradicts the NOB C title. Measurements: Approx. 18 mm, 3.1 grams
