Three attractive ornate tobacco boxes of the turn of the century
These three silver tobacco boxes are not only practical, but also very decorative utensils. Manufactured around 1900 in France and Austria, they are particularly outstanding because of their colored enamel decoration, which varies with each piece. The doses may be used in different ways, for example, for cigarettes or business cards. The insides are gilt.
The boxes are hallmarked on the inside respectively on the side (mostly with fineness and maker's mark). They are overall in good condition, showing light sign of wear. The dimensions are 7 x 9.5 x 1 cm; 6.5 x 9.2 x 1.2 cm; 4 x 7 x 1.2 cm. Overall weight of all pieces: circa 352 grams.
