Rare and nice edition of one the most relevant collection of canon law advices of the Middle Ages.
Favored scholar of Antonius de Butrio and Petrus de Ancarano, Domenico da San Gimignano , law teacher in the Universities of Bologna; Florence and Siena, Auditor Camerae Apostolicae at the papal court, wrote some relevant commentaries to the Corpus Iuris Canonici, and this celebrated collection of legal advices.
Provenance: The copy belonged to Luigi Emanuele Corvetto,Important lawyer and banker, state’s counselor in France and intimate friend of Napoleon.
