Description
19th century. A standing, stocky, and saddled horse with one leg bent and mouth open. Gilt ears, detailed mane, tail in a turned-up bun, and hooves. The body covered with a turquoise blue cloisonne ground covered with black, green, blue, yellow, red, and pink cloisonne scrollwork. Round opening on belly, pierced holes in hooves. Approx. 5 1/2 by 6 1/2 in., 14 by 16.5 cm.
