Remarkable miscellany of three canon law treaties concerning ecclesiastical benefits, written by three of the most known canonists at Rome’s papal court.
It emerges, among them, as well as Johannes Staphileus, professor of canon law at Sapienza Roman College, auditor of Rota and Apostolic Nuncius, the name of Ludovico Gomes, brilliant Spanish theologian and jurist, author of important commentaries to Rota’s decisions and of several other works about ecclesiastical and curial matters.
