536. Original production cels of the “Hag” and “Wicked Queen” from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. (Walt Disney Studios, 1937) Beautiful pair of original production cels featuring the “Wicked Queen” and the “Hag” from Walt Disney’s classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The cels come from animator/director Rudy Cataldi. Before working in the animation department at the studio, Cataldi worked in the traffic department and would walk into the studio with Walt Disney on a regular basis. After requesting a cel directly from Disney, Cataldi was given this piece and has owned it ever since. The setup consists of two individual cels, one of the “Queen” with effects airbrushing added, and another of the “Hag”. Setups similar to this were prepared at the studio and then shipped to Courvoisier Studios in San Francisco for sale. This piece was most likely prepared for Courvoisier and then pulled for Cataldi. The original Studio labels are still attached to the backing board. The piece is framed with a mat opening of 11 x 10.5 in. The Wicked Queen measures an impressive 9 x 8 in. while the Hag measures 5 x 5.5 in. Special shipping arrangements will apply.
