Offertory with the portrait of Saint Florian

This offertory most probably originates from a collect of a parish that was afflicted by a fire or another catastrophe
The hand-forged and iron-worked offertory originates from South Germany/Austria from the first half of the 17th century. A solid iron corpus is equipped with ornamented wall mount as well as restraining bar with a possibly original triangular padlock with key. Under the hanger is an additional secret lock without key. On the restraining bar is the mouth for inserting the money. On top of the back is the hand-painted portrait of Saint Florian in oil paint. This offertory possibly originates from a collect of a parish that was afflicted by a fire or another catastrophe.
The offertory is in good condition with a pretty age patina. Inside is some flash rust. The dimensions are 46 x 30 x 17 cm (height x width x depth). (tm)
