Three-tiered calligraphy set in the form of a vessel with cover on four paw-feet
Mask decorations on the sides and two finely carved dragons encircling the front
Deeply hollowed center part, the sides decorated by countless reticulated chilong dragons
The handles in the form of a phoenix and a dragon head, each with a suspended ring handle
The cover decorated with a Ruyi scepter and double gourd amidst wreaths of clouds with floating chilong dragons

Condition: The scholar’s set is in excellent condition and shows only slight, age-related signs of use. Despite the thickness of its walls, it is of translucent quality. The vessel is 30 cm high including the pedestal; 27 cm wide and 12 cm deep. The vessel alone is 27 cm high and 27 cm wide.
