B-309 U.S. Purple Heart document for Guy F. Powell, a civilian Army employee - awarded while stationed at Fort Mills Corregidor. Powell was wounded during the Japanese invasion and died on 29 December 1941. Signed by the Adjutant General and Secretary of the Army. With the original cardboard mailing tube, a 1950 letter describing the Purple Heart Award and an enclosed Presidential accolade (facsimile signature of Harry Truman). II
