Long and narrow Tennessee late Archaic or Woodland period Turkey Tail arrowhead. This point measures 6.25 inches long and 1.75 inches at the widest point of the blade. The point is slightly asymmetrical, with relatively shallow side notches. The blade has parallel primary chipping on one side, and random chipping on the other. One side also has a greater indication of retouch chipping. The blade is convex with an acute distal end. The cross section appears to be in between biconvex and flattened. The arrowhead has an overall worn feel with debitage within the outer recesses. Overall very good condition.
