Medal commemorating Queen Mary of Hungary, Regent of the Netherlands, Obv.: Bust of Queen Mary of Hungary in a cap, embroidered dress and necklace surrounded by, "MARIA . REGINA . HVNG . BOH . Z . LVDOV . VXOR . PHIL . REG HISP . FIL." Rev.: ship on a calm sea, the sun with rays above. Surrounded by, "HIS DEVS OCIA FECIT," 2.375"d (6.03 cm). 6.) Rev.: nothing, 2.75" d (6.99 cm) These are all thought to be 19th century casts of 16th, 17th and 18th century medals and tokens, perhaps scholar's objects cast by the museums which held the original examples.
