A Fine Pair of Chinese Turquoise-Ground Famille Rose Vase
GuangXu period (1875-1908)
Each vase is potted with squared body, rising to square rims, decorated in famille rose enamels with a bird perched on a branch of wisteria beside flowering branches of roses, the flowering wisteria extending over the rim and extending into the interior. Below the shoulder is inscribed in iron-red with the characters, Dayazhai, all on pale turquoise ground, with double orange-red foo-dog masks flanked to the shoulder.
