Fruitwood Louis XV style five drawer commode. Excellent materials and workmanship made in the US from 30's-40's. Very sturdy construction of the blonde toned fruitwood. Handsome carving seen on the drawer fronts with acanthus leaf hardware. Scalloped bottom apron and recessed arched side panels. Additional carving on the mitered corners. All drawers dove tailed front and back. Center small drawer with working lock and key as well as black tassel. Stands on short cabriole legs with escargot feet. The chest in excellent condition overall with exception to a very slightly darker round spot on left top where something sat for several years. Measures 34.5 H X 49 L X 23.5 D. Item ID: CJD37961
