Description
Europe, second half of the 19th Century
Richly carved wood work
Dimensions: 77 x 105 x 65 cm
This richly ornate hall table is a particularly beautiful piece of furniture, whose figurative and floral wood carving immediately catches the eye. The apron with symmetrical carving work supports a slightly protruding table top. The trestles carved in relief are connected via a crossbar, which shows a mascaron on both sides.
The table is in good condition. It shows the usual signs of age and use. There are partial colour abrasions, small discolorations and water stains as well as small split-offs and superficial scratches. The trestles show a couple of vertical tension cracks. There are minor traces of repair work, for example on one of the feet a crack has been touched up. The table is 77 cm high, 105 cm long and 65 cm width.
