These six porcelain plates are fascinating by their detailed mirror painting and were manufactured in Japan. Each plate rests on a circular foot ring, on which the sweeping body rises. Furthermore three plates show a curly lip. One plate comes with a floral décor in blue and white, four plates show an Imari and one plate a Kutani pattern. Various flowers in separate cartridges, different ornaments on the edges and figures in the mirror of the Kutani plate are visible. The outer edges of five plates are also decorated in blue underglaze painting, the Kutani plate is inscribed underneath and two plates come with suspension on the back.
The porcelain plates are in visually appealing condition with some signs of age and wear. Colour abrasion and hairline cracks to the edge of the largest plate are visible. The diameter varies from 28 to 46 cm and the height measures 4 to 6.5 cm. (lvp)
