French, Late 19th/Early 20th century. Turn of the century Louis XV style sofa with carved walnut wood undulating frame with scrolling, acanthus leaf tips and flowers throughout with S scroll arms elegantly curving toward seating upholstered in dark purple to burgundy silk mohair accented with faceted nail heads. Sofa raised on seven legs (three at back, four squat cabriole legs with scrolled feet at front). Approximate height 37", width 82", depth 30.25" , seat to floor 17".
