Interior with sloped ceiling, fireplace, modern teak chairs, low sofa, and minimal modern Scandinavian desk. Work signed lower right Rabb. Framed 19.25" x 23.25". Watercolor sight size approximately 11.3" x 17.2". Note: Lamar Dodd (American, 1909-1996) was a painter who worked in a number of artistic styles ranging from naturalism to abstract art. Dodd started work as a university teacher at the University of Georgia in Athens in 1937, he became the head of the art department several years later. Dodd consolidated art instruction into a unified department and initiated a master's degree program. The Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia is named in his memory.
