Good condition

This is a mocha service of the Meißner Ofen- & Porzellanfabrik (since 1857) from the period of 1872 until c. 1945. The six mocha cups and six mocha saucers of porcelain are white glazed with purple margins. The flag of the saucers is shaped with a rod relief and curved rims. The cups are also of curved shape. The service is adorned with silver applications. The spoons of 800 silver are worked in a fine, filigree shape.



The six saucers are marked with Meissen with a star. The service is stored in the original box with a green satin inlay. A small note, inscribed ‘Graf und Gräfin Otto von Castell’, is enclosed. The service is in good, age-related condition with slight traces of use. One of the cups is broken. The cups are 6 cm in diameter and the saucers 11 cm. The spoons are 11.7 cm in length. (tm)
