Contents: Invitation to Walt Kuhn Exhibition, 1987, at the Whitney Museum of American Art * 1948 Water Bill for Walt Kuhnís home in Ogunquit, Maine * photograph taken by Brenda Kuhn [daughter of Walt Kuhn] of the family home in Cape Neddick, Maine * Plastic door sign - Frederick Solomon (1899-1980) , Art Dept. Chairman, Nathaniel Hawthorne College in New Hampshire * Fred Zinnemann (1907-1997) Academy Award winning film director - his autograph * Roland G. Hazard (1801-1888) American industrialist, politician, and social reformer. Signed 184? bank check * Bruce Conner [1933-2008] American painter, collagist, and draughtsman. Legal Tender. A photo-lithographed 'dollar bill' printed recto and verso with Conner's intricate abstract pattern drawings of the time on each side. From SMS published 1968 * Merv Slotnick [1941-] American conceptualist & abstract artist. Original mixed media on paper, signed on verso 1997 * Small 2005 collage by Slotnick signed on verso * Rudy Vallee (1901-1986) American singer, actor, signed 1935 bank check * Tom Wesselmann (1931-2004) American artist. Autograph note signed with initials * Douglas Volk (1856-1935) American artist best remembered for his portrait of Abraham Lincoln used for a postage stamp. Signed 1896 bank check. * 5 small envelopes each containing multiple torn pieces of paper from a chess magazine once the personal property of Bobby Fischer * 5 small envelopes each containing torn & cut pieces of paper from discarded Slotnick art works * Luther Vandross (1951-2005) American signer, songwriter. Warner Bros. check made out to him in 1984 * Julien Levy (1910-1981) Art dealer and critic specializing in Surrealism. Pharmaceuticals. Levy's specially-printed prescription for "conception control" on which he prescribes "Dream-A-Mean" for Leonardo to be taken "introVENUSlY". From SMS published 1968. All items contained in distressed looking hand-painted box by Slotnick. The box was made to purposely look distressed. This is the third in series of Art Boxes which will contain related, as well as unrelated objects and original art.
