Bill Dana (b. 1924) Comedian/Actor. Many know him as "JosÈ JimenÈz". He performed, and wrote for many TV shows in the 1950's and '60's. He got his start on Steve Allen's Tonight Show as a writer, and where his "JosÈ JimenÈz" character began, which launched his own show (The Bill Dana Show) from 1963-1965. SIGNED CONSENT LETTER, coming from the estate of Milton Ebbins, signed consent letter from Bill Dana. The letter addressed to Peter Lawford gave permission to use his perfomances recorded at John F. Kennedy's "Pre-Inaugural Gala" for future Democratic functions, advertising, etc., without any compensation. The letter is signed and dated 2/14/1961. Very fine. Provenance: Estate of Milton Ebbins - Hollywood mogul, manager and business partner of Peter Lawford, and property owner of Chrislaw files after Peter Lawford died. Milt Ebbins (1912-2008) steered the lives of many Hollywood Stars. Well Loved - Well Connected to many actors, comedians, and singers, none more than Peter Lawford, President John F. Kennedy's brother-in-law. Through this connection Milt became John Kennedy's good friend and was a frequent guest at The White House, and Air Force I. Milton Ebbins and Peter Lawford served as liaisons between Hollywood and the Kennedy White House during the Golden Age of Camelot. He was good friends with everybody in the Rat Pack, and many other celebrities including- Marilyn Monroe, Patty Duke, Jerry Lewis, Bing Crosby, Mort Stahl, Rosemary Clooney, Count Basie, Bill Eckstine, Nat King Cole, Marlin Brando, and many, many, more.
