Description
Chinese, Tang Dynasty (circa 618-907 AD). Polychrome pottery figural sculpture of a woman holding a small bird in the palm of her raised hand. Woman with dark hair, white face and green garment. Unmarked. Approximate height 10.8". Provenance: Acquired by a Private Collection in Atlanta, Georgia while in China in 1995; placed in the care of the Michael C. Carlos Museum of Art, Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia from 1998 to 2013. Item accompanied with a copy of the deposit receipt from the Michael C. Carlos Museum of Art at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia for the item in 1998; a copy of the return receipt from the Michael C. Carlos Museum of Art at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia for the item in 2013; and a copy of the original debit note for the purchase of the antiques in 1995 by Coca Cola China Holdings Limited.
