Description
English, 19th century. "Alma, Storming the Great Redoubt", lithograph after Richard Caton Woodville Jr. (English, 1856–1927). Lithograph depicts a scene during the Battle of the Alma on September 20, 1854 during the Crimean War in which the British infantry storm forward toward the Russians with rifles and flag raised, with smoke rising all around. Framed 45.5" x 32.75", unframed sight size 34.5" x 21.25".
