This wonderful portable printing press by Ufa is a true rarity. It was made from mahogany and features brass fittings in the form of the Ufa logo with the circular inscription, “Universum - Film AG Berlin - Reichsfilmkammer“. The handle is made of turned wood and the lid is slanted. Such a piece, which today holds great museum value, was used by agents of Ufa who ran from one movie theatre to the next to provide posters with additional information in the form of stamps.
The interior of this unusual suitcase contains an original printing roller, a muller (paint surface), a compartment with a small bottle of original developer fluid (“Developene”) and the printing press on the left. The components can be folded up. The item additionally contains 10 solid steel printing blocks with different motifs. The fittings on the suitcase are marked, “British Make”.

The portable printing press is in very good condition considering its age, with merely light scratches on the front.
