Luc Lanel (1893-1965) & Marjolaine Lanel (1897-1976)
In the first half of the 20th century, Luc Lanel and his wife Marjolaine played an important role in the field of arts and crafts. Since 1920, Luc Lanel worked for Christofle and manufactured objects in the Art Deco style. Together with his wife, he created ceramics, which were often signed with ‘La Marjolaine’. In 1946, Lanel ended working for Christofle and only produced ceramics. Here, the pair collaborated with famous designers such as Jules Leleu, Jean-Charles Moreux and André Devèche.
