This is an Exquisite French Dore’ Baccarat Ormolu Cave a Liqueur Set – Purchased in 1982 for $6,500. This set includes its original purchase invoice when it was acquired from Heinsmith Interiors, an upscale exclusive retailer of high end furnishings. The set is in excellent condition with all of the original 4 decanters and 12 glasses. It’s overall measurements are 14.4”L x 11.5”T x 12”W. The only markings are on the bottoms of many of the decanters, glasses, and stoppers, which have small etched numbers and letters on them. It is well known that Baccarat did not sign their pieces prior to 1936, and primarily used paper labels. This set is heavy, and very well made, of certain quality. This piece originally came from the Cline Estate in Kentucky. Baccarat sets like this have considerably increased in value and demand over the years as it has been increasingly difficult to find them complete and in good condition.
