Description
Rex Whistler for Wedgwood, a selection of Queensware teawares in Clovelly View pattern, comprising: a Patrician 10 3/4 inch plate, the design printed in gold within an embossed rim; three teapots with covers, the designs in black, red and blue; a teapot stand in crimson; two 8 inch bowls in black and brown; a cup and saucer in black; a 7 inch side plate in black; a 9 1/2 inch cake plate in crimson and milk jug in black, [Whistler & Fuller 359]; with a photocopy of an original leaflet advertising Clovelly ware (13) Featuring the High Street, harbour (two views), lobster pots and rose sprays. The leaflet depicts a plate with embossed rim but slightly different to the one present. Four of the pieces with adhesive labels for the Richard Dennis Wedgwood Exhibition 1982 (see footnote to previous lot).
