The US-American artist Mel Ramos created this enamel sign on metal in New York City in 2000/2001. Titled ‘The Pause That Refreshes’ it depicts the famous logo of the Coca Cola Company in front of a lilac background. A beautiful, naked, young woman covers it in parts. Her back is turned towards the viewer and she is playing with her hair.

This enamel sign on metal is signed and marked in white pen ‘Mel Ramos’ and ‘AP’. A label on the back reads ‘Klimo. Bongartz Emaille seit 1934’. The piece is in very good condition. There are few faint blemishes and the corners are slightly bumped. The dimensions are 40 x 40 cm. (amb)
