Allen & Thurber Center Hammer Boot Pistol. 10 in. half octagon barrel, approximate 36 caliber (9mm) rifled bore, fixed front and rear sights, center hammer percussion with nice walnut grips; signed on the top flat moving down to the left flat “Allen & Thurber – Worcester – Cast Steel”, serial number on the underside at the barrel breech “25”, no other visible marking. Hammer cocks & trigger functions smoothly, c.1840, measures 14 in. long.
