The districts of Würzberg form the historical heart of French viticulture, where vines have flourished for centuries in famous vineyards like the “Würzburger Stein” on the Main River. Formerly termed “Steinwein”, their growths were the pinnacle of fine Franconian wine. Above the Main River, vines take root in Muschelkalk on the Triassic Keuper bedrock on the western slope of the Steigerwald. On the Main Rectangle, red sandstone and weathered rocks that date back to the Stone Age dominate escarpments in the west of Lower Franconia. The cooler climate of Franconia and the presence of various soil types results in very delicate, dense wines characterized by bold minerals. The best Franconia Silvaner and Rieslings possess ageing potential and can provide a unique taste experience.
The fill levels are excellent (< 3 cm). The labels and capsules are in perfect condition.
