Description
A pair of late 19th century French gilt bronze seven light candelabra on patinated bronze figural standard in the form of a classical maiden standing on square black slate base with green marble plaques. Each is signed J. Pradier by incised lettering in the bronze and marked by the founder SUSSE Fres. The measurements are 24.5 x 10 inches overall. Provenance: purchased from McNally Company Antiques, Rancho Santa Fe California, Sept 21, 2004.
Condition
Very good, noting minor chipping to the extreme edges of the slate base.
