Four satiric medals designed by Karl Goetz, concerning the socialist revolution in Bavaria. Germany, [ca.1918-1920].
Kurt Eisner's figure appears on two of the medals. Eisner, a Jewish pacifist, leader of the socialistic revolution in Bavaria.
* Obverse: Kurt Eisner and his wife crossing near Bavaria's emblem, inscribed: "Verlassen - 8.Nov.1918" [date of Eisner's rise into power as prime minister of the "Free Republic of Bavaria"]. Reverse: three Bavarian knights, escaping the mob running towards them, headed by a man holding a flag with the inscription "Revolution". Surrounded by an inscription: "Bayern Treue 6. Juni 1920" [loyalty to Bavaria, and date of elections for Reichstag]. Diameter: 55 mm; 58 mm.
* Medal commemorating 20 years since the death of Otto von Bismarck, 1918. Obverse: Bismarck's figure, looking down from the sky, and a German inscription. Reverse: allegoric relief depicting a woman (defeated Germany) covering her face with her hand; next to her, on the ground, a crown and a sword. A figure mounting a horse is seen in the background.
