FISH VASES & MAJOLICA - Pair of Mid-19th c. French Porcelain Vases Depicting Fish by Jacob Petit, bases decorated with an array seashells and flowers PLUS an Early Chinese Majolica Fish Figurine. Each porcelain vase has Petit's blue "JP" underglaze mark on the base, 7" high, 4 7/8" x 4", gilding losses, chips to shells and flowers. Majolica fish is late 18th-early 19th c., unmarked, 5 1/2" high, 8" wide, top lip, dorsal fin and one pectoral fin chipped, repair to tail fin. From Brooke Astor's Northeast Harbor Maine estate "Cove's End".
