Rabbi Dr. Bernard Drachman (1861, New York City - March 12, 1945, New York City). Rabbi Drachman was a leading figure in Orthodox Judaism in the first quarter of the 20th century. He earned a scholarship at the Jewish Theological Seminary of Breslau where he received his rabbinic ordination. He also earned a Ph.D from the University of Heidelberg. In 1890, Drachman began serving as rabbi in the Park East Synagogue, which he led for the next fifty-five years.
