This series includes accounts of voyages by Sir Thomas Roe, John Saris, Pedro Teixeira, Pedro Fernandez de Quiros, Peter Mundy, Bernal Diaz del Castillo, Maximo Rodriguez, Duarte Barbosa, Samuel Fritz, John Sanderson, Christopher Columbus, Sir Francis Drake, Peter Floris, Richard Hakluyt, Henry Middleton, Fabian von Bellinghausen, William Strachey, Sir Walter Raleigh, Ibn Battuta, John and Sebastian Cabot, James Cook, George Vancouver, and many, many others. Also included are an assortment of ephemeral publications from the Society, including lists of members, Annual Reports, lists of publications, annual lectures, etc. Rarely encountered in a complete set, of particular rarity, Number 5, Saris's Voyage to Japan and the seldom seen supplementary pamphlet to Number 22, History of the Incas. Condition
Condition varies but overall very good to fine. 5 volumes have library markings on spines, the earlier volumes are unevenly faded, most have some light wear; the later volumes in dust jackets largely in fine condition.
