Scarce account of travels in North Africa and of the revolt of the Arabs let by the Emir Abdelkader against the French, who had invaded Algeria in 1830. OCLC/WorldCat lists only five copies, and two of those are at the Bibliotheque Nationale de France so may be duplicate listings; the others are at the National Library of Scotland, the Soas University of London, and the Biblioteca Nacional de Espana. No copies have sold at auction since at least 1975 according to American Book Prices Current. Ownership signature on front free endpaper dated 1852 along with a small bookplate.

Condition

Expertly rebacked with most of original spine strip employed; very good or better condition.
