This piece has been restretched and glued down to a canvas back. . It appears to have some impasto crushing and over-cleaning. The over-cleaning is most noticeable in the sky. This piece has a heavy varnish layer on the lower half of the canvas but there are still several areas of over-painting that are on top of the varnish. These areas of overpainting are located in the two bushes beside the far right shack, the red train cars. the lower half of there right and left edge, the cathedral on the right, and in the clouds (1 - 5" diameter). Some of this overpainting appears to be covering some possibly patched areas. It is possible the painting has been extended with over-painting all around the edges about 1" into the painting. There are a few scattered dark pigment scuffs, but overall light grime build up. There is some light cracks in the paint on the top corners.
