Description
Egypt, Late Period, ca. 700 - 300 BCE. Â A fired clay cone with the circular face bearing a hieroglyph text which reads, "The Osiris, prophet of Amun-re king of the gods, overseer of the prophets of the gods of Upper Egypt in its entirety, chief steward of the Divine Adoratress, Pa-ba-sai, son of the 'god's beloved' priest Pa-di-bastet, his mother being Ta-senet-hor. Â Â Size: Â 7-1/2"L x 3-3/4" diameter.
Provenance: From a Swiss private collection, 1960s / 1970s.
